Philadelphia 76ers will sign J.P. Tokoto to training camp deal
J.P. Tokoto nearly plummeted out of the entire draft before the Philadelphia 76ers snagged him with the 58th overall pick.
Tokoto is viewed as a play-making versatile wing who could have a lengthy NBA career if his jump shot improves. The Sixers know this, which is why they've reportedly convinced him not to flee overseas, where he'd be promised more money and better job security.
There's no promise Tokoto will make Philly's final roster on opening day, but on a non-guaranteed contract he has value for a team that has little interest in paying players big money, or winning games this season.
