Pelicans send care package to former player Patric Young

Patric Young went undrafted out of the University of Florida, but impressed enough in Summer League to earn a roster spot with the Pelicans.

But thanks to a logjam of frontcourt players on the roster that essentially went five-deep before Young even arrived, he ended up being waived by the team in November in order to pursue a career overseas.

New Orleans is keeping tabs on its former player, however, and staying on good terms with him in case things change in the future.
