Patriots WR Julian Edelman is recruiting Kevin Durant to Boston
The Boston Celtics, with their core of young players and stash of future draft picks, offer Kevin Durant one of the most enticing options in free agency this summer, and Durant met with Celtics representatives over the weekend in the Hamptons. Among those who visited Durant was New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and Red Sox legend David Ortiz gave Durant a shoutout on Twitter.
Yo @KDTrey5 sorry I couldn't make the meeting today but Brady will tell u they don't call Boston the City of Champions for nothing ???

On Sunday, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman made his own pitch while wearing a No. 35 Celtics jersey. Should he choose to come to Boston, Durant would have to change his number, as the Celtics retired No. 35 to honor Reggie Lewis.
From the fans, to the history, to the amazing city itself, Boston is best place to play hands down @kdtrey5 ?35? pic.twitter.com/jZO65KUsiS
