Nuggets interview former Kings coach Mike Malone for open job

The Denver Nuggets don't have a coach right now. One of the prospects they're bringing in to speak with is a former Kings leader. From ESPN's Marc Stein:

Yes, that's right. Mike Malone. I'm sure you remember him. It wasn't that long ago — just earlier this year — that Malone was coaching the Kings to a decent start to the season. But after some tiffs with management and lord knows what else, the Kings let their coach go and went through a disappointing, three-coach season. Ouch.

Malone earned respect in Sacramento, and many were outraged by his firing.

Denver has interviewed others for its coaching vacancy already, including Mike D'Antonio and interim coach from this past season Melvin Hunt, but you have to imagine Malone would be in the running.
