Nuggets, Gallinari reportedly close to agreeing to extension
The Denver Nuggets and forward Danilo Gallinari are close to finalizing a two-year, $34 million extension, Yahoo Sports/FOX Sports 1 NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday.
The new deal will pay Gallinari $14 million next season and $15.5 million in 2016-17, according to the report.
Gallinari has spent the past four-and-a-half seasons with the Nuggets after being traded from the New York Knicks in a multiplayer deal for Carmelo Anthony during the 2010-11 season.
Gallinari, who missed all of the 2013-14 season while recovering from a torn ACL, averaged 12.4 points last season, his lowest scoring average since his rookie season.
