Novak's Milwaukee homecoming ends after left knee injury

MILWAUKEE (AP) Bucks forward Steve Novak is expected to miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury.

It ends Novak's brief homecoming to Milwaukee, where he starred in college at Marquette. The Bucks and Golden Eagles both play at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks said Sunday that a test showed that Novak had a sprained MCL. The 10-year veteran got hurt after Pistons guard Reggie Jackson bumped into the leg late in Detroit's 102-91 win on Saturday in Milwaukee.

Novak was signed by the Bucks as a free agent on Feb. 21 and averaged 2.3 points in three games.

Novak also spent time with Oklahoma City this season. The 3-point shooting specialist has averaged 4.7 points in 459 career games.
