New York Knicks Injury Update: Derrick Rose Out Against Cleveland

New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose will miss Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden due to back spasms.

Through 21 games, New York Knicks starting point guard Derrick Rose has looked the part of a resurgent star. There are still areas in which he must improve, but Rose has been one of the stars of New York’s 12-9 start to the season.

Unfortunately, Rose will be sidelined for the Knicks’ biggest test of the 2016-17 NBA regular season thus far.

Rose left the Knicks’ 114-103 victory over the Miami Heat with six minutes remaining in the third quarter. He didn’t return to the game and was later confirmed to be battling back spasms that kept him out for the final 18 minutes.

According to a release via the official Twitter account of the Knicks’ Public Relations department, Rose will miss the clash with the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a sore lower back.

Rose will undergo an MRI on Thursday, December 8 to confirm that he didn’t suffer any structural damage.

That may be a haunting tweet to read, but it’s not as terrifying as some may make it out to be.
