Nets' Kevin Garnett to miss ninth straight game with back spasms
NEW YORK -- Brooklyn's Kevin Garnett missed a ninth straight game Monday because of back spasms and will sit out at least two more.
Coach Jason Kidd said before the Nets hosted the Phoenix Suns that Garnett would be re-evaluated Saturday before Brooklyn leaves for Dallas to start a three-game road trip.
Kidd stressed that there wasn't any setback for Garnett, who hasn't played since the Nets' 112-89 victory at Denver on Feb. 27. Brooklyn has gone 6-2 in the veteran's absence. Garnett will also miss home games against Charlotte on Wednesday and Boston on Friday.
Rookie Mason Plumlee has been starting at center while Garnett has been sidelined.
