Michael Malone on Joffrey Lauvergne's return

Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone has dealt with injuries to his frontcourt all season long. Jusuf Nurkic, Nikola Jokic, Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler and Joffrey Lauvergne have all missed time this year, with Chandler being out for the season.

The good news for Malone and the Nuggets is that Lauvergne is back from injury and making an immediate impact in the lineup.

Over his last three games, Lauvergne is averaging a double-double with 12.3 points and 10.3 rebounds a game.

Here's more from Malone on Lauvergne's impact, via Christopher Dempsey of the Denver Post:

"He's definitely rounding back into form," said Nuggets coach Michael Malone. "I wasn't surprised that it took a little time to get back to that, when you miss that many games — and the kind of injury he had, the back, he couldn't do anything. When you have a bad back, it really inhibits the movements you're able to do."
