LeBron weighs in on the Warriors' historic pursuit of 73 wins

LeBron James used to get top billing, at least before the Warriors went on this historic run. The defending world champs tied the 1995-96 Bulls' mark of 72 wins on Sunday, and LeBron weighed in on the Warriors' magical season.

"I can say that I actually got to witness some history," James told reporters after the Cavs shootaround Monday.

LeBron followed the Bulls' run 20 years ago, trying to see as many games as he could of Michael Jordan's record-breaking team.

"I remember the 95-96 team, but I wasn't watching every game," James said. "Wasn't fortunate enough to watch every game. So, I knew about it. I kind of watched the Bulls from afar but to actually be in the league now while they're setting this record, have the opportunity to set this record, it would be something I can talk about later in life."

But despite being deferential to the defending champs, it still has to sting to watch the team the Cavs lost to in last year's Finals steamroll the league. Many expect a rematch of last year's Finals, which would give LeBron and the Cavs a chance at redemption.
