LeBron calls latest Carmelo Anthony-Kevin Love trade rumor 'trash'

LeBron James hasn't been afraid to speak his mind this season. He fired back at Charles Barkley after enduring his criticisms for years, and he's criticized the Cavaliers front office while lobbying for additional help more than once.

The latest noise to bother LeBron came in the form of a report from the New York Daily News, which essentially stated that James was working behind the scenes to push for a trade for Carmelo Anthony, even if it meant giving up Kevin Love in order make the deal work.

All of the relevant Cavaliers were asked about it after Cleveland's thrilling 140-135 overtime win in Washington on Monday, and they all downplayed the idea somewhat significantly. But LeBron's comments were by far the strongest.

"I saw it and heard about it," James said. "It's trash. And the guy who wrote it is trash, too."

Love was a bit more diplomatic about the whole thing ...

... while Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue promised that Love would be sticking around.

Meanwhile, Love poured in 39 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Monday night's win over the Wizards. Maybe the rumors aren't such a bad thing after all.
