Lakers' Julius Randle fined $15,000 for making obscene gesture

Julius Randle came up big in the Lakers' win over the Heat on Wednesday by hitting the game-winner in overtime with just 1.9 seconds left. But the way he celebrated the play afterward got him into a bit of trouble with the league office.

Randle was fined $15,000 by the NBA for "making an obscene gesture" after the play, one which is commonly known in NBA circles as the "big balls dance" that was made famous by Sam Cassell many years ago, and has been replicated by plenty of players since.

The league has continued to fine players who choose to do this, but the relatively small amount of the punishment hasn't done much to make the celebration permanently disappear.
