Kobe Bryant wants to go skiing, surfing, skydiving in retirement
Kobe Bryant will finally have a lot of spare time on his hands for the first time since he’s been an adult once he retires from professional basketball in a few months. While he’ll undoubtedly be busy with his family and potential business pursuits, the future Hall of Famer expressed interest in taking up some recreational hobbies.
Bryant joined former teammate Rick Fox and Jared Greenberg on SiriusXM NBA Radio Wednesday and was asked about what he’s going to do when he’s retired. The Lakers forward mentioned skiing, surfing and skydiving as activities he might want to pursue.
As Fox noted, many of those activities are forbidden per NBA contractual rules. Not only will Kobe have the time to try those pastimes, but he’ll also not be at risk of voiding his contract by trying them out.
Kobe lives in a Southern California beach community, and you know what can happen there. We’d love to see him surfing, but we’re just warning the Mamba to be careful out there in the ocean.
