Kobe Bryant gets back on court for first day since injury (PHOTO)

He celebrated his 37th birthday on Sunday, but for Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, the real gift came a day earlier.

On Saturday, Bryant posted a photo to his Instagram account -- a selfie, no less -- in which he's standing on an indoor court, apparently ready to get back to work. The caption on the photo reads in part, "First day back on the court shooting! Bout damn time!!"

Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff in late January that cost him the rest of the season. That puts his injury recovery at just about seven months. Now, he has a little over two months to get back into regular-season form.
