Kobe Bryant gave Alex Ovechkin a gift for being 'one of the all time greats'

Three of modern sports' greatest athletes were on hand as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately for hockey star Alex Ovechkin and tennis giant Novak Djokovic, Kobe Bryant wasn't on the court due to pain in his shoulder. But on the bright side, Bryant's absence from the game meant the trio got to hang out and snap some photos:

Nice outfit, Kobe. We didn't know the Lakers had hired you as an usher for the games you sit out.

Ovechkin really made out on the night, as the Washington Capitals captain received a signed jersey and pair of shoes from Bryant. The note along with the autograph called Ovechkin "one of the all-time greats," which is pretty high praise coming from someone like Bryant:

Ovechkin also snapped a selfie with Lakers part-owner Jeanie Buss, which wins him this round of "Lakers Celebrity Bingo":

The Capitals take on the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night, and the Lakers have an off-day before they face the Cleveland Cavaliers. We wonder if Bryant will return the favor and check out Ovechkin on the ice.
