Kings reviewing DeMarcus Cousins’ locker-room confrontation with reporter

DeMarcus Cousins had an angry locker-room confrontation with a Sacramento Bee columnist following the Kings' win over the Lakers on Monday, and the team has announced it's reviewing the incident.

"We are committed to being open and transparent, and any hint of media censorship is unacceptable," the team said in a statement. "There is an ongoing review into this matter, and we will take the appropriate steps immediately upon its conclusion."

Cousins was upset that his brother, Jaleel -- who's also a professional basketball player, currently with the D-League's Texas Legends -- was mentioned in a piece questioning the nightlife choices of DeMarcus and his teammates. Cousins and Matt Barnes are being sued over an alleged fight that took place earlier this season at a club in NYC.

USA Today's Sam Amick suggests that the league may hand down some type of punishment, no matter what the Kings eventually decide. Bleacher Report's Howard Beck reports that GMs around the league won't trade for Cousins specifically because of incidents like this.
