Jordan Clarkson named to NBA All-Rookie First Team
On the whole, the 2014-15 NBA rookie class was one of the more shallow draft classes in recent history. The voting for the NBA All-Rookie team reflected that.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins was the only unanimous pick for the NBA All-Rookie First Team, but the Los Angeles Lakers were represented well by Jordan Clarkson.
Clarkson is the 11th player in Lakers history to be named to the first team. Here's more the Lakers press release on their official website:
In 38 games as a starter, the 22-year-old averaged a team-leading 15.8 points per game on 45.8% shooting to go with 5.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.05 steals.
For the year, Clarkson ranked 2nd amongst rookies in points per game (11.9), 3rd in assists per game (3.6) and free throw percentage (.829), 4th in field goal percentage (.448), and 13th in rebounds per game (3.2).
