Joakim Noah congratulates Cleveland for Cavs' title then takes a swipe at the city
Joakim Noah has never been a fan of LeBron James. The two have had a number of run-ins on the court during their careers — a beef that stretches all the way back to 2010.
But Noah will be on hand with the Knicks when the Cleveland Cavaliers receive their rings Tuesday, watching James claim his third championship ring. While Noah congratulated Cleveland, which will celebrate its first pro title in 52 years, he still couldn’t help but take a swipe at the city.
Noah has taken shots at Cleveland for some time now, questioning the city’s nightlife.
"It's pretty depressing out here, man," Noah said before a playoff game in Cleveland in 2010 when he was a member of the Bulls. "It's bad. It's bad. No going out in Cleveland."
Though Cleveland might not be a vacation destination, it is the home of the NBA champs and might add a World Series title if the Indians can take down the Cubs.
