Jimmy Butler says he's ready to return
Jimmy Butler missed the Chicago Bulls' last game before the All-Star break; a 113-98 victory over the rival Cleveland Cavaliers. But it doesn't look like he'll be gone for much longer. From K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune:
Everyone but Derrick Rose participated in an intense, 90-minute practice Wednesday at the Advocate Center. Barring a Kirk Hinrich setback or an injury during Thursday's session, the Bulls could be at full strength for just the 17th time Friday against the Pistons in Detroit.
The Bulls said Rose experienced travel issues and didn't make it back for the first post-All-Star-break practice, which, according to coach Tom Thibodeau, featured an attacking Jimmy Butler during the scrimmage portion. Butler missed the final pre-break game with a strained right shoulder but vowed throughout All-Star weekend, in which he participated, that he would play Friday.
A fully healthy Bulls squad? Stop the presses.
