Ja Morant throws down must-see dunk in Grizzlies' win over Pacers
Ja Morant is at it again.
The Memphis Grizzlies superstar threw down a thunderous dunk in the third quarter of his team's 130-112 win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. The eye-popping dunk instantly became one of the most explosive highlights of the 2022-23 NBA season.
Heading into Saturday's game against Indiana, Morant had a dunk against every NBA team already in his young career — except for the Pacers. His remedy for that came at the expense of Pacers center Jalen Smith, who could only watch as Morant flew above him.
The "Dunk of the Year candidate" immediately gained traction on Twitter, eliciting a response from Kevin Durant among others.
Morant's Grizzlies teammates had a similar response too.
Morant had 25 points, 10 assists and three rebounds in the win. He also had a similarly gravity-defying block on a shot attempt at the other end of the court.
The Grizzlies improved to 29-13 with the win, tied for first with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA's Western Conference.
