Isaiah Thomas rudely spurns rookie R.J. Hunter's high five

Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas has infectious charisma. Whenever he does something amazing on a basketball court, everyone around him wants to jump in and be a part of it. 

That includes Celtics rookie R.J. Hunter, who tried to give his All-Star teammate a high five during Boston's big win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. 

Big mistake:

But don't worry, Hunter! Thomas simply didn't see your hand. It happens:

It's extremely premature to speculate about Hunter's NBA career, or what type of player he can be as early as next season. 

But, on paper, he's a tremendous backcourt partner for a score-first penetrator like Thomas. Hunter's deep range would stretch at least one defender out to the perimeter, making it that much easier for the 5-foot-9 dynamo to get into the paint. 

But, as was already mentioned, that's a long way from happening, if it ever does. In the meantime, Hunter would simply accept acknowledgement of all his high fives. 

Is that too much to ask?
