How can the Spurs maintain consistency?

The San Antonio Spurs are 4-2, trudging along with a few quality wins and some unfortunate losses to teams that might not be as good as we all thought they'd be. 

But it's so early, and these guys always use the regular season as a testing ground to figure out how they can be at their best in time for the playoffs.
