Hornets' Gerald Henderson dons cap and gown next to Duke's Quinn Cook
You can't put a price on a good education, even if it means you have to wait until you're already a millionaire to complete your coursework. After all, it's never too late to go back to school, and leaving early to take a seven-figure salary doesn't mean your education is over. The end of the NBA regular season often coincides with guys either going back to class or celebrating the hard-earned fruits of their scholastic labor.
Charlotte Hornets guard Gerald Henderson, a former Duke Blue Devil, actually wrapped up his degree before the season started, back in September, according to the Twitter account for The Chronicle, Duke's independent student newspaper.
With his season over, it was time to walk, and Henderson found a championship-winning Blue Devil with whom to celebrate the occasion:
Congratulations, Gerald Henderson! Now enjoy your summer vacation.
