Hey, just kidding: Kings reportedly scrap plans to fire head coach George Karl

The good news for George Karl is that he's still employed as the head coach of the Sacramento Kings.

The bad news for George Karl is that it looks like he'll remain the head coach of the Sacramento Kings, at least for the rest of this season.

The Kings were reportedly all set to fire Karl just before the All-Star break. The only questions were supposed to be who would replace him on an interim basis, and who would the team be able to lure this summer to take what's become the worst coaching job in the league.

But evidently, that plan has now been scrapped.

This is actually a positive step for a franchise that had three head coaches last season, but the fact that the reports leaked stating otherwise continues to show that the front office is in an ongoing state of dysfunction.
