Heat officially waive forward Henry Walker
The Miami Heat announced on Monday they had officially waived forward Henry Walker, as the team's busy offseason continues.
Walker joined the team in February on two consecutive 10-day contracts. The Heat were hurting just to field a complete roster at that point due to injuries, and Walker served admirably. Miami signed him for the remainder of the season after his second 10-day deal. In total, Walker averaged 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 26.2 minutes per game for the Heat.
Walker showed that he belongs in the NBA; unfortunately for him, Miami is deep at almost every position after a summer in which the Heat re-signed most of their free agents and added depth as well.
