Grunfeld: No. 1 pick has no bearing on Arenas

Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld says winning the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft does not affect the team's plans for Gilbert Arenas.

Arenas is a three-time All-Star guard who was suspended most of this season by the league after bringing guns into Washington's locker room. He has four years left on his Wizards contract.

In a conference call with reporters after winning Tuesday's draft lottery, Grunfeld said: ``Gilbert is still with us. He's been down at our gym, working out and getting ready. The more good players you have, the better.''

The two players considered likeliest to go first in the draft are guards: Kentucky's John Wall and Ohio State's Evan Turner. Grunfeld used the word ``outstanding'' to describe both Tuesday.
