Grizzlies' Mike Conley sidelined by ankle injuries

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley will be sidelined for the first time this season because of ankle injuries

Coach Dave Joerger says Conley is inactive against the Magic on Friday night. Joerger said Conley, who was already nursing a sprained right ankle, stepped on a cameraman during Memphis' win at Brooklyn on Wednesday night, injuring his other ankle. Beno Udrih is starting in his place.

Conley has started the Grizzlies' previous 38 games this season and is averaging 17.9 points and shooting a career-best 46 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range.
