Grizzlies exercise third-year option on Jordan Adams

Jordan Adams didn't do much as a rookie, but the UCLA product didn't do little enough to get himself booted from Memphis. The Grizzlies made that official Tuesday.

From the team's official website:

Adams played only 8.9 minutes a night, getting into a mere 30 contests as a rookie. The Grizzlies are pretty loaded on the wings at the moment, so there may not be much of a chance of him upping that number in year two, either.

Memphis has to find a way to work Tony Allen, Courtney Lee, Jeff Green and Matt Barnes into the rotation comfortably. That likely leaves Adams on the outside looking in.

The Memphis Grizzlies exercised the third-year contract option on guard Jordan Adams, the team announced today. Adams is now signed through the 2016-17 season.
