Gregg Popovich explains why Tim Duncan wouldn't help the Spurs vs. the Warriors
The San Antonio Spurs are in a rough spot — down 0-2 headed into Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors and without Kawhi Leonard for a second consecutive game.
There's probably nothing the Spurs can do to beat the Warriors once, let alone win the series, short of calling on San Antonio legends of the past. And even then, Gregg Popovich wouldn't expect much.
When asked if Tim Duncan could help out in Game 3, Popovich took the opportunity to needle the future Hall of Famer:
"Tim can't help us a lick. He can't play dead anymore. He just shows up for the free lunch."
