Fort Wayne Mad Ants Fall in OT to Maine Red Claws
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants received their second loss of the season at the hands of the Maine Red Claws.
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants hot start to the season cooled a little as they fell 124-121 in overtime to the Maine Red Claws on Thursday night.
Once again Travis Leslie led the Mad Ants in scoring with 22 points after coming off the bench. He shot 11-13 from the field was well as 2 of 4 from 3-point range and 6 of 6 from the free throw line.
The Mad Ants other leading scorer was Jordan Loyd with 20 points and liked Leslie also came off the bench.
Julyan Stone handed out 9 assists as he flirted with a triple-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He is still second in the league with 9.3 a game.
Georges Niang made his D-League debut on Thursday with 13 points on 5 of 16 shooting, going 3 of 3 on free throws.
The Mad Ants host the Texas Legends at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
