Flip Saunders thinks the draft is more than a 'two-man race'

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a fairly difficult decision ahead of them. With the first overall pick in this year's draft, the Flip Saunders and company have to decide between taking Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns. Except, according to Saunders, it's an even tougher decision than that, since he sees this draft as much more open than some think.

"'It's not really a two-player race,' said Saunders, who coached the Timberwolves from 1995-2005 before rejoining the club last year as coach and president of basketball operations. 'There's a lot of guys who intrigue me and who we've looked at.'"

Might the Timberwolves shock everyone and select D'Angelo Russell, the electric combo guard out of Ohio State, or maybe Emmanuel Mudiay, the mysterious point guard who played in China this season rather than go to college? At this point, there's no way of knowing, but given how the 'Wolves' drafts have played out over the past few years, it wouldn't be wholly surprising to see them go in a completely different direction than anyone expected.
