Five of the Best Gifts for a Golden State Warriors Fan

The Golden State Warriors have made this season an exciting one for all of its fans.

The holiday looms around the corner and with a growth of fans in Dub Nation. I am sure each of us knows a big time Warriors fan on a personal level. If you are like me, then maybe gift giving is not a big strength. In this piece we will deviate away from analyzing the Warriors’ basketball team and their on-court evidence.

A little fun never hurt anyone and when it comes to talking about Christmas gifts, especially for fellow Dubs fans, the fun is amplified. Christmas gifts are a dime a dozen. With all of the Christmas lights, mistletoe, decorated Christmas trees, and other extremities, gift giving seems like the least of difficult parts of the holiday season.

However, the perfect gifts for that special person will make life a heck of a lot easier after the fact. I am no aficionado on gift giving, but when it comes to sports fandom in general, or even Warriors fandom, I could probably use some brainpower, and hunches to make some good gift suggestions for the person who is or who knows a die hard Warriors fan. Now would be a perfect time to end this soliloquy and get into the top 5 gifts you could get for a Dubs fan.

Kevin Durant has been a hit since arriving in the Bay Area.

Golden State made the biggest move of the season by acquiring Kevin Durant. The experiment has worked out great thus far and there isn’t a Warriors fan who would say they don’t like him on this team. The growing popularity of the newest star in Golden State makes the perfect stage for gift giving during the Christmas holiday.

I couldn’t name a Warriors fan that wouldn’t love to have Kevin Durant jersey to hang in their closet or frame. The residual value, memories, and moments associated with this particular gift is limitless.

Especially if Golden State turns into a dynasty and Kevin Durant is still there for the development of it. KD will make some serious noise with Golden State and every career moment he has here will be associated with the jersey.

If they ever had a Christmas design of Durant’s jersey come out, that would be the Christmas gift of the century, especially for a hopeful Warriors fan. It does look kind of nice too. I don’t really compliment the colors gold and blue well, however you cannot deny how fashionable the threads look as a finished product.

Stephen Curry has definitely botched some shoe designs, but the Warriors star definitely got some of them right.

Before the majority population laughs me out of a writing career, let me preface this by saying some of Stephen Curry’s shoe designs are really bad as of recently. The original ones, however are really good. He went senior citizen on us with some of the products like the Curry 2 which resemble senior status at the highest order.

They really look like something you would where at a hospital as a worker, and not on basketball courts. The fact that he had an awful NBA Finals game in the Curry 2 sneakers definitely did not help the case. Now on to the good shoes.

The original SC1 model is actually really good. There is nothing better than the original and this holds true for this situation. The shoes play great on court, they don’t look absolutely atrocious by today’s colorful standards, and no one will laugh  you all the way back home for wearing them on a basketball court (here comes the internet savages on cue). T

he yellow and blue design of these are great to go with any Warriors attire you may want to wear with it. The shoes is really very colorful for my preference, but it is a great shoe and it is very popular. More so than it’s successors which i will try to avoid reminiscing.

Draymond Green is the most entertaining Warriors player.

We love us some Draymond Green in Dub Nation. From the awkward kicking incidents, emphatic dunks, controversial interviews, and off-season bloopers the Warriors star power forward gives us so much to react to. His on the court play is amazing as well.

For better or worse Draymond is the most inspiring Golden State player and we would not want him anywhere else. With that being said a perfect gift for a Dub Nation supporter would be a Draymond Green bobblehead.

You can find these really easily on the internet and I could not think of any Warriors fan who wouldn’t want a souvenir like this on their table. This gift is reasonable in price and full of options. There are some that were made in honor of their Championship in 2015.

There are also other versions so the spectrum of creativity is pretty wide. If you are a Draymond Green fan or Golden State fan this could be a cool gift you or someone you are shopping for.

Klay Thompson just made NBA history a few games ago and is one of the most popular players on the Warriors.

Just a couple of nights ago, the internet was raving about Klay Thompson. He put up 60 points in 29 minutes. That is an NBA record and it isn’t the first time that the shooting guard has lit up Oracle Arena.

Thompson is one of the more mellow Warriors’ players. He can go from zero to one hundred and we love that about him. Just like Draymond Green, he is very loved in Dub Nation. A Klay Thompson jersey would be the perfect gift for a fan.

The media doesn’t give him much attention, however we know what he does and how great he is to us. You can frame the jersey, hang it up, and any other thing you would do with it. Wear it to gym and maybe you would score 60 points in 29 minutes.

Just the residual memories alone with make this gift touching for someone who appreciates the Warriors body of work as a whole. If you happen to know someone who likes Golden State and more specifically Klay Thompson, you should definitely pick up one of these online. If you can somehow get it signed at a Warriors game then you deserve an even bigger gold star!

The Golden State Warriors will be playing the Cavaliers this Christmas Day.

All of the physical gifts you can give to a Warriors fan have their own individual value. If you like an individual player, the jerseys, bobbleheads, and other propaganda will appeal to you. There is one gift that actually will trump all of these.

If you like the Warriors, the one team you would love to see them play again this year is the Cavaliers. After a controversial series in the Finals this would be the Championship before the actual Championship. So why not buy your recipient tickets to the Christmas day showdown.

They would get to see all the players they love and all the opposing players they hate. It is a guarantee that Warriors fans like to watch them play in the flesh even more than on television. The sensation of being able to cheer, dance, participate in festivities, and possibly meet your favorite player.

Or even get an autograph would be great. The notion that it came from a thoughtful gift would be even more endearing to the person experiencing the Christmas day match-up in person.
