Fans get confused, think the wrong Isaiah Thomas got hired by the Liberty

James Dolan and Madison Square Garden brought a familiar face back to 33rd street Tuesday when they hired Isiah Thomas, former Knicks general manager and coach, to become president of the WNBA's New York Liberty.

The hire has been met with general negativity around fans for various reasons. Unexpectedly, one of those is that people thought Isaiah Thomas—the Boston Celtics point guard—and not Isiah Thomas, was the one hired to head up the Liberty.
