When defensive prowess of Rudy Gobert is combined with his extreme efficiency offensively, he is an exceptional value in FanDuel NBA tournament play.
From anywhere on the floor, Rudy Gobert is an intimidating defender.
The NBA league leader in blocks with a total of 63 rejections this season, Gobert is limiting his opponents to 10.2 percent below their shooting average on attempts within six feet of the rim and 11.4 percent below on attempts within 10 feet of the basket.
While Gobert has made a career by shutting down the opposition and the Jazz have rewarded his play with a four-year, $100 million contract, his value in FanDuel NBA tournament play has climbed to a season-high for Saturday night because of his contributions on the offensive end.
For the first time in his four NBA seasons, Gobert has submitted 20-point performances on consecutive nights, and his performance against Golden State Thursday night was one of the most efficient in the past two decades.
Gobert totaled 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the field, 17 rebounds, an assist and a block. The perfect shooting performance increased his average for the year to 66.4 percent, the highest in the NBA.
The success rate of Gobert has been helped dramatically by his shot selection. Gobert has attempted 120 shots at the rim, and just 23 from anywhere else on the floor.
The result is primarily dunks, as his 58 jams rank as the third most in the league, along with a true shooting percentage of 69.1 percent, another league-high.

For the year, Gobert is averaging 11.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. His rebounding average and double-double total (14) are both the sixth best in the NBA.
With nine consecutive performances with 10 or more rebounds, the longest active streak, Gobert has produced at least 25 FanDuel NBA tournaments points in nine straight games, including three straight 40-point performances.
Gobert is putting up elite center numbers at a value price and he should be strongly considered for any FanDuel NBA lineup Saturday night against the Kings.
