Dwight Howard reportedly hospitalized for dehydration after return from China
New Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard was hospitalized late Sunday after falling ill on a flight home from China, according to a report in the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
Howard, who had just wrapped up a 10-day promotional tour in China, was suffering from dehydration and reportedly was released Monday morning after treatment.
Howard joined his hometown team over the summer, signing a three-year, $70 million contract after stints with the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.
He was drafted No. 1 overall by the Magic in 2004. He's made eight All-Star teams and was named to the All-NBA first team five times.
