Derrick Rose: Stephen Curry is 'pushing the entire league' to improve

On Friday night, the Chicago Bulls became the latest team to take a lead on the Golden State Warriors, only for the undefeated reigning champions to come storming back for a decisive victory.

The Bulls had to rely on Kirk Hinrich's offense in the early going and Jimmy Butler's defensive versatility, as point guard Derrick Rose sat out with a sprained ankle. It was a difficult game to miss for Rose, but he understood that his physical limitations would put the Bulls at a disadvantage against Stephen Curry. Rose then went a step further before the game, telling reporters that Curry's dominance is a driving force for players around the league to step up their games:

Curry totaled 27 points, five rebounds and four assists in Golden State's win, although the Bulls did force him into six turnovers. The Warriors are 14-0, tied with the 1957-58 Boston Celtics for the best start by a defending champion and one win shy of the NBA record for most consecutive wins to start a season. Golden State faces the Denver Nuggets on Sunday to tie the record, with a Tuesday game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

"He's been amazing, man," Rose said. "He's playing great basketball. If anything, he pushes, I think not only me, but the whole league to work on their game. The way he's been working out, the way he's focused and how consistent he's been playing, I think he's pushing the entire league."
