DeMarcus Cousins receives 9th technical foul in 23rd game, says it 'won't be the last'
During the Sacramento Kings' 116-92 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins received his league-leading 9th technical foul of the season -- only 23 total contests into the NBA's 82-game campaign.
Cousins' technical foul came shortly after Lou Williams was given a technical foul of his own during the following play:
Cousins was whistled when he and Lakers assistant coach Brian Shaw engaged in a brief war-of-words about the play afterwards.
Following the game, DeMarcus Cousins wasn't done talking about the series of events -- guaranteeing that this technical foul will not be his last:
Was Cousins in the wrong? Who knows at this point, but, one thing we've learned in his 7-year career: it's going to be a WHILE before Boogie is able to shake this 'bad boy' reputation he's earned among his peers and the NBA's referees.
