DeMarcus Cousins: Kings losing because I'm 'playing like [bleep]'

When asked about Sacramento's three-game losing streak, star center DeMarcus Cousins took the blame.

Cousins had a poor performance in the 98-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, going 5-for-20 from the field. He was also 3-of-9 from the free throw line, including two big misses in the clutc that would have given the Kings a three-point lead. And it's those struggles that Cousins is pointing to first.

“I’ve been playing like [expletive], man,” said Cousins, via the Sacramento Bee. “I say that’s our problem, it’s me. I’ve been playing like absolute [expletive].”

During the recent losing stretch, Cousins is 13-of-53 (24.5 percent) and 2-of-11 (18.2 percent) from the three-point line. His 14.3 points per game in the three Sacramento losses is significantly below his season average.

The Kings begin a three-game homestand on Tuesday when they take on the Utah Jazz before hosting the New York Knicks and Houston Rockets.
