Dell Curry explains how amazing it is to be Steph's dad
Dell Curry has been there for every step along the way in Stephen Curry's journey to the top of the NBA. But that doesn't mean the older Curry saw any of this coming.
How could one foresee what Steph did on Saturday night, leading the Golden State Warriors on an epic comeback against the Oklahoma City Thunder and capping off the NBA's game of the year with one of the most ridiculous game winners ever? That's the stuff of dreams, not reality. And that's true even for Dell, a broadcaster for the Charlotte Hornets, as he explained during a Sunday broadcast against the Hawks:
"Yeah, whoever was sitting in the room beside me I'm sorry. Kemba asked me on the way over here, what's it like when I watch these games? I said, 'Just like you.' He's doing things I haven't seen before. It's really fun. It's amazing as a dad to watch, and I'm happy for the league."
Of course, that's what you'd expect a proud father to say, for the most part. It's Dell's last comment, however, that really gets to the heart of today's game. Despite what NBA stars and coaches of yesterday might try to tell you, Curry is absolutely amazing for the game. He's encouraging kids to embrace the NBA, and he's teaching them that 3-pointers are awesome and a great way to win basketball games.
So take your "Steph Curry is ruining basketball!" takes and get them all the way out of Dell Curry's house. His son is the greatest thing to happen to the NBA since Michael Jordan (Fact. Don't @ me). And he knows it.

We're happy for the league, too, because thanks to the Curry family, everything is awesome.
Hours later, @stephencurry30 may need another one of these to still cool off... pic.twitter.com/n0FAbspven
