Dakari Johnson was an 'easy' choice for the Thunder
To hear Sam Presti tell it, the Oklahoma City Thunder had the easiest night of anyone. First they got Cameron Payne, whom they had reportedly targeted all along. Then, in the second round, they nabbed Dakari Johnson from the University of Kentucky. While Johnson was mainly a backup in his lone year with the Wildcats, he still has plenty of potential left to realize. And when the Thunder saw he was available, they didn't think twice about picking him. As Sam Presti told Thunder.com:
"'Where guys were projected for us, that was a really easy one,' Presti explained. 'He is a really, really great kid. He has a great disposition to him. He is a really smart guy.'"
