Clippers on Griffin punch: 'This conduct has no place in our organization'

Update (10:58 p.m. ET): Blake Griffin issued an apology on Twitter.

Los Angeles Clippers issued a statement on Tuesday addressing Blake Griffin's reported altercation with a Clippers equipment staffer.

Owner Steve Ballmer and coach Doc Rivers announced the star power forward had broken the fourth metacarpal in his right hand after throwing a punch, and said that the team was looking into the incident:

The Clippers are 11-3 without Griffin, who has been out since Dec. 26 with a partially torn left quadriceps tendon. He is expected to miss another four to six weeks with his hand fracture.
