Cleveland defendants get a pass to miss court appearances to attend Cavs' parade

Things are on the up for Clevelanders from Dan Gilbert to LeBron James to defendants in the city's municipal court system.

On Wednesday, Clevelanders will witness a championship parade celebrating the Cavaliers' stunning NBA Finals comeback over the Warriors, ending the city's 52-year championship drought. Thanks to some leniency by Judge Ronald B. Adrine, presiding judge of the court’s general division, defendants scheduled to appear on Wednesday will be able to join the long-awaited festivities.

If the Browns win the Super Bowl this year, the court system may have to up the ante and forgive all criminal defendants for their (alleged) crimes.
