Cavs' Varejao not facing Raptors
Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao stayed in Cleveland with his father who underwent heart surgery and will not travel to Toronto for Friday's game against the Raptors.
There was a chance Varejao, who recently left the Cavs after his grandfather's death in Brazil, would rejoin the team after his father's operation. He may rejoin the team for Saturday night's home game against Sacramento.
Cavs coach Byron Scott said starting guard Mo Williams remains a game-time decision against the Raptors. Williams was sidelined for much of training camp and the exhibition season with a groin injury. Williams also missed five days last week to attend his father-in-law's funeral in Mississippi.
