Cavs remove all Tristan Thompson merchandise from team store

As Tristan Thompson's contract holdout continues, the Cavaliers are sending signals that they're ready to move on without him if necessary.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that the team is removing all signage in and around Quicken Loans Arena that features Thompson's likeness, and has already removed all Thompson-related merchandise from both the online and the arena team store.

This could merely be a formality. Since Thompson remains unsigned at the moment, technically, he's not a member of the team, so the rules don't allow the selling of merchandise that bears his name.

But the removal of the signage at the arena seems like a bolder step, perhaps intended to send a message that Cleveland is ready to move forward without Thompson if his extended holdout continues.
