Cavaliers move up ring ceremony so Cleveland fans can watch World Series

Cleveland sports fans were faced with quite the quandary this coming Tuesday: Watch the Cavaliers receive their NBA rings as the Land's first sports team to win a championship in 52 years — or catch their Indians compete in their first World Series since 1997?

Now fans don't have to choose. The NBA announced that it is moving up the Cavaliers' season opener tip-off a half-hour on Tuesday so Cleveland fans can watch LeBron James and Co. receive their championship rings at 7 p.m. ET on TNT ... before turning their attention to the Indians when they take on either the Cubs or the Dodgers in Game 1 of the World Series at 8 p.m. on FOX.

Or, as Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert put it:

It's a wealth of riches if you're a sports fan in Cleveland (except, well, you know).
