Carmelo Anthony to miss second game with back spasms
OKLAHOMA CITY -- New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will miss Friday's game against the Thunder with back spasms.
Anthony, who started the day ranked seventh in the league with 23.2 points per game, first experienced the issues in the first half of Monday's 91-86 loss at Houston, and he sat out Wednesday's game at Dallas.
Anthony said he couldn't walk or get out of bed at first, but he improved enough to do a light workout on Friday. He didn't put a specific timetable on his return, but said he had hoped to play Friday.
While Anthony sits, the Thunder will get point guard Russell Westbrook back. Westbrook has missed all but two games with a broken right hand.
