Carmelo Anthony: Knicks are competing for championship

There might not be anyone in the world, outside of those associated with the team, who thinks the team that calls Madison Square Garden home can win the 2016 NBA Finals. But that doesn't mean that the members of the New York Knicks have to be realistic.

'Melo might take some scuff for this, because -- and let's be frank -- this team is not particularly good. The Knicks won just 17 times last season. That's not exactly what you like to see from a team whose best player claims the squad is competing for a championship. At the same time, though, what else do you want him to say?
