Cameron Payne likes Oklahoma City because it keeps him 'focused'
When it comes to nightlife, Oklahoma City isn't exactly on par with the likes of New York or Chicago. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though. Not every player is into that scene. Some prefer the small town feel, because it allows them, if not forces them, to focus on basketball. Cameron Payne told ESPN's Royce Young as much in a recent interview.
"'(Oklahoma City is) a great city, and I'm glad to be a part of it. It keeps you focused, the fact it's a smaller city, it keeps me focused. That's what I need. When I was at Murray [State], a small town, kept me focused, and I got here. Just looking to do some of the same things, be focused and do the best I can do.'"
