Bulls assign F James Johnson to D-League team

The Chicago Bulls have assigned forward James Johnson to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League.

Taken with the 16th pick in the 2009 draft out of Wake Forest, Johnson has appeared in 12 games this season and averaged 3.5 points. He appeared in 65 games as a rookie and averaged 3.9 points.

The Bulls announced the move on Thursday.
