Bucks rookie G Hobson has hip surgery

The Milwaukee Bucks say rookie guard Darington Hobson has undergone successful surgery on his left hip.

The Bucks say Hobson had the surgery Tuesday in Milwaukee. The team says the second-round draft pick will undergo a similar procedure on his right hip later this year and is expected to miss the entire season.

The 6-foot-7 junior was selected 37th overall out of New Mexico in this year's draft.
